About the Event
BACKGROUND:
To solve the bottle-neck of foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow to independent power projects (IPP) in Vietnam, new policies need to be established to meet global standards and international financial institutions’ requirements. The seminar is hosted by the Industry Department – Central Economic Commission and the Planning and Development Institute (“PDI”), endorsed by the Central Economic Commission ("CEC") and Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations ("VUSTA").
PURPOSE:
The International Financing for Independent Power Projects is a seminar for the representatives from ministries, Party agencies, Government, National Assembly and relevant localities, research organizations and institutes both locally and internationally who are interested in the topic of national energy security to contribute ideas in the process of policy making and provide international financing for projects
OBJECTIVES:
The conclusion of the Seminar, recommendations from international experiences on the national policy framework needed to facilitate the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) for the development of independent power projects (IPPs), thereby giving out policy implications for Vietnam and proposing policy recommendations to the government
